Philippines Seeks defence systems, missiles And More Israeli Weapons Amid South China Sea Clashes The Philippines has submitted a shopping list to Israel for defence systems amid intensifying tensions with China. Manila has reportedly requested Israeli-made defence systems including sensors and different types of missiles. Manila has also sought to purchase long-range radars and very advanced command-and-control systems, Shepherd Media reports .These weapons system would enable full coordination between different units of Philippines armed forces on the ground, in the air and at sea.The southeast Asian country is a repeat customer of Israeli weapon systems, according to the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI). The Philippines accounts for 12% of total Israeli defence exports in recent years placing it behind India (37%) but ahead of the US (8.7%).
