Iran-Allied Militia Targeted In Iraq, US Denies Role But “Revenge Strike” Hits Israel's Eilat Port A huge explosion reportedly hit a base housing pro-Iranian paramilitaries to the south of Baghdad. The blast was a result of an unknown air strike, which happened around midnight on April 20, Iraqi security sources told Reuters.An Iraqi interior ministry officials said that the attack killed one person and wounded eight others, according to AFP. The camp also housed an ammunition depot and a warehouse for tanks and other arms in the area.The head of the security forces in Iraq’s Babil (Babylon) province said five explosions were heard following an attack. “The explosion hit equipment, weapons and vehicles,” Iraqi interior ministry official said. The base is used by Iraq’s Popular Mobilisation Forces (PMF), which said its command post at the Camp Kalso military base was hit.
