Woman Dies On Voting Day In Mexico During Shootout Between Cops, Ballot Thieves A woman was murdered in Tlapanala in central Mexico on June 2 during a shootout between police and a group of people who had stolen close to 500 ballots from a nearby polling station, local media reported.Voters in Tlapanala complained that they were unable to vote due to the lack of ballots caused by the theft.Authorities from the National Electoral Institute (INE) in the state of Puebla said they were aware of the killing and theft but highlighted that only two violent events had been reported thus far.At least two people were detained, local media said. Local INE council said they filed complaints with the public prosecutor's office against the people who carried out the theft.
