US Supports Moldova Against Russian "Bullying" | Moscow Bidding To Control Another Ex-Soviet Nation? US Secretary of State Antony Blinken pledged steadfast support to pro-Western nation of Moldova as it faces “bullying” from Russia. Blinken also announced that US is working on an aid of $50 million dollars for Moldova’s energy and farming sector so that it can “resist Russia interference.” The US has already committed some $300 million to Moldova's energy sector as the country tries to reduce its reliance on Russian imports.
