"US Authorised Haniyeh Killing" Khamenei Orders Iran Drone-Missile Assault With Allies on Israel? Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei has ordered a direct strike on Israel for the killing of Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh, The New York Times reported. According to the NYT report, Khamenei and other top Iranian officials vowed a response to the assassination of the Palestinian group’s chief in Tehran. Khamenei gave the directive at an emergency meeting of the Supreme National Security Council held shortly after Haniyeh’s killing was announced, NYT wrote. Khamenei ordered the IRGC* and Iranian Army commanders to prepare attack and defence plans in case the war expands and Israel or the US strikes Iran.
