Ukraine’s ATACMS Take Out $100m Russian Radar Station, Drones Target Putin’s Su-34 & Su-35 Jets Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Ukraine’s domestically-developed ballistic missile has successfully completed flight tests, marking a significant step in the country’s increasing reliance on its own defence industry. The new missile, alongside long-range drone missiles such as the Palianytsia and other naval drones, is part of a broader strategy to bolster Ukraine’s defence capabilities as the war with Russia continues. Zelensky highlighted Ukraine’s ability to produce 4 million drones annually, with over a million and a half already contracted.Ukraine’s domestic weapon production comes as Kyiv intensifies its efforts to counter Russian forces, including a recent successful strike using US-supplied ATACMS missiles to destroy a Russian Nebo-M radar station, worth over $100 million. The destruction of this radar station, a key component of Russia's air defences, potentially weakens Moscow's ability to detect and intercept aerial and ballistic threats.Meanwhile, Ukraine continues to conduct drone strikes, targeting Russian airbases and high-value military equipment. Kyiv’s drones recently struck the Borisoglebsk airfield in Russia’s Voronezh region, aiming at Su-34 and Su-35 fighter jets and warehouses containing precision-guided bombs. However, the extent of the damage remains unclear.
