Starting Out in Watch Maintenance: Which Tools Are Must-Haves for Beginners?

Hello everyone,
I’m new to the world of watch maintenance and repair and am looking for some advice on essential tools to get started. I’ve been collecting watches for a while, and I’d love to learn how to make basic repairs and adjustments myself.
From what I’ve read, several tools seem to be quite useful for beginners. Some of the ones I’ve heard about include:
  1. Spring Bar Tool - For removing and replacing watch straps.
  2. Screwdriver Set - Different sizes for working with various screws.
  3. Case Opener - To open the case back for battery replacements or other adjustments.
  4. Tweezers - For handling small parts without damaging them.
  5. Loupe - To inspect tiny components closely.
  6. Watch Repair Kit - Often includes multiple tools in one package.
  7. Case Cushion - To protect the watch while working on it.
Could anyone share their experiences with these watch tools or suggest any others that are must-haves? Are there specific brands or types that are better for beginners? Also, any tips on how to use these tools effectively would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your help!
