South Korea Fires Warning Shots At North Soldiers, Russia Rejects "Intimidation" Over Kim-Putin Pact South Korea's military said it fired warning shots after North Korean soldiers briefly crossed the border in third such incursion this month. The nuclear-armed North has been reinforcing the border in recent months, adding tactical roads and laying more landmines. South Korea said North Korea’s military development has led to "casualties" among its troops due to accidental explosions. South Korea summoned Russia's envoy to Seoul to protest a defence deal signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korea's Kim Jong Un. Meanwhile, Putin said he does not rule out Russia sending arms to North Korea if the West continues to supply Kyiv with sophisticated weapons.
