Russia Asks "European Province" Moldova To Punish Ukraine "Mercenaries", Warns Baku On Arms Supplies Russia said it’s thoroughly checking and discussing with Azerbaijan media reports about alleged arms supplies to Ukraine. The ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova made the remarks when asked for a comment on reports about the issue.Recent media reports alleged that Baku had supplied anti-aircraft guns and mortar shells to Ukraine through the grain corridor in 2022-2023.Meanwhile, the Russian foreign ministry spokesperson also slammed Moldovan Defence Minister Anatolie Nosatii’s “hypocrisy.” Zakharova was referring to Nosatii’s remark that there are Moldovan mercenaries in Ukraine’s “so-called” International Legion of Territorial Defence.
