Putin Calls For ‘Fair World Order’ In Meeting With World Diplomats On November 5, President Vladimir Putin addressed newly arrived ambassadors from various countries, asserting Russia's commitment to mutually beneficial cooperation while advocating for a fair world order. During the meeting with ambassadors from nations including Japan, Canada, Italy and Israel, Putin expressed opposition to "illegal" sanctions and restrictions imposed on Russia.Earlier that day, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated that Russia would appoint a new ambassador to the United States in due course, provided Washington was willing to maintain contact. The previous ambassador, Anatoly Antonov, completed his assignment last month. The Kremlin had announced on October 7 that a new ambassador would be appointed, countering speculation regarding a downgrade in relations with Washington.
