"Mass Grave" In Sudan As Paramilitary Attacks, Army To Give Russia Red Sea Base In Exchange For Arms Pro-democracy activists in Sudan reported that about 40 people were killed in "violent artillery fire" by paramilitary forces in Omdurman city on June 6. The Karari Resistance Committee, a grassroots pro-democracy groups said that the attack was carried out by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces. The group added that their bodies were received by Al Nao university hospital and other private health facilities or were buried by their families. Meanwhile, Sudan's army vowed a "harsh response" to an attack by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces on the Wad al-Noura village.
