Lebanon's European And Arab Allies Huddle As Israel Approves Hezbollah Attack After Golan Strike An Israeli drone strike outside the southern Lebanese town of Shaqra killed two people, according to Lebanese rescue services. Lebanese media also reported that a person was killed and four wounded in Israeli airstrikes on a car and a motorcycle in southern Lebanon. The strikes came after ministers authorised PM Netanyahu and his defence chief to decide on the “manner and timing” of a response to a rocket strike in the Golan Heights. Meanwhile, Lebanon’s Foreign Minister Abdallah Bouhabib said Hezbollah is ready to withdraw beyond the Litani River if Israel halts its “violations”, as per Al Hadath news. Bouhabib said the United States, France and others were trying to contain the escalation, in an interview with local broadcaster Al-Jadeed on July 28.
