Iran Says “Israel Setting Middle East on Fire”, Opens New Consular Building In Damascus Iran issued fresh warnings for the West as its Foreign Minister inaugurated a new site for Iranian consular services in Damascus on April 8. The new consular building is said to have previously housed the headquarters of an Iranian-Syrian automobile venture.The site inaugurated by Hossein Amir-Abdollahian is in a different building close to the previous consulate flattened in an Israeli airstrike last week.The strike on April 1 killed seven Iranian military officers including two senior commanders.
