Iran Says Israel Link "Quite Clear" As Militants Kill 5 Revolutionary Guard and Police In Attacks Five security personnel were killed in simultaneous militant raids on multiple military bases in Iran’s restive southeast late on April 3. Iran’s regional authorities said that the attackers attempted to seize IRGC* bases in Sistan-Baluchistan’s Rask and Chabahar cities.The region’s deputy governor termed it a “terrorist attack” carried out by Jaish al-Adl (Army of Justice), a Sunni Muslim militant group opposed to Tehran. Alireza Marhamati, the deputy governor of Sistan-Baluchistan, also suggested a connection between the group and Israel in his remarks. Jaish al-Adl, “which is affiliated with the Zionists, has claimed responsibility for this terrorist attack,” he was quoted as saying by IRNA.Meanwhile, General Mohammad Pakpour, who heads the Guards' land forces, said on television that 15 attackers were killed during clashes with security forces.
