Iran Adds More "Destructive Power" To US-Made M60 Battle Tanks As It Modernises Shah Era Weapons Iran unveiled a domestically upgraded version of the M60 tank featuring higher manoeuvrability and destructive power on September 1. The tank was delivered to the Iranian army’s ground force in a ceremony in Tehran attended by Army Commander-in-Chief Major General Seyed Abdul Rahim Mousavi. The capabilities of these tanks include fire announcement, extinguishing system, digital dashboard, laser jamming and warning system, Iran’s PressTV reported. The tank is optimised and upgraded by domestic experts at a Tehran-based army production and renovation center, IRNA news agency reported.
