The directive allows Israel Defence Forces to prevent the kidnapping of soldiers even at the expense of hostages’ lives, according to the report. Israel’s Gaza division was reportedly given an order by the Israeli command that "not a single vehicle can return to Gaza". Israel forces allegedly opened fire indiscriminately on any suspected case of Hamas abducting citizens or fleeing back into Gaza.
