IDF Strike Kills Pro-Assad Syrian Businessman | Germany Detains Man Buying Drone Parts For Hezbollah Around 80 Hezbollah rockets targeted several areas of northern Israel in three separate waves on July 16. The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) claimed a salvo of at least 40 rockets was fired toward the city of Kiryat Shmona. At least 20-30 rockets were also fired towards the Mount Meron area in the Upper Galilee, the IDF reported. The Hezbollah rocket barrage came as a “response” after Israeli forces killed at least five Syrians while targeting Hezbollah sites, as per reports. A prominent pro-Assad Syrian businessman, Baraa Katerji, was killed in an Israeli strike near the Lebanese-Syrian border on July 15. Meanwhile, Hezbollah Chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah called Israel a “cancerous tumour,” which he said would be removed by the current Palestinian generation.
