IDF Shows Strike On Hamas Chief Deif, Iran Discusses "Response to Israel”, US Urges "Right Choices" The Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) released footage of an airstrike it says killed Hamas military chief Mohammed Deif in Gaza on July 13. The IDF’s confirmation comes after Israeli strikes killed Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh and Hezbollah commander Fuad Shukr in Tehran and Beirut, respectively. Health authorities in Gaza reported over 90 deaths from the July 13 strike, but Hamas denied Deif was among them. Deif was killed along with one of his top commanders, Rafa Salama, the Israeli military said.
