Houthis Unleash ‘Zulfiqar’ On Israel, Vow More Attacks, IDF’s Arrow ‘Intercepts’ Ballistic Missile Yemen's Iran-aligned Houthis said on Oct. 7 they fired two missiles at Israel, including a new one named ‘Zulfiqar.’ The alleged attack coincided with the first anniversary of the Israel-Hamas war triggered by the October 7th attack by the Palestinian armed group. The other missile was identified by the Houthis as Palestine 2, adding that it "reached" its target. This was reportedly the first time the Houthis deployed Zulfiqar, a highly-maneuverable radar-evading missile with a range of more than 2,000 kilometers. The Houthi movement’s spokesperson also claimed to have launched Yaffa and Samad-4 drones toward the Israeli cities of Tel Aviv and Eilat earlier on Oct. 7.
