Hezbollah Claims Fighter Killed In Strike, Blinken Says "No One Wants War" But Israel "Prepared" Lebanon’s Hezbollah announced the death of one of its fighters in an Israeli strike on July 1. Hezbollah fighter Hamza Shour was killed in the coastal city of Tyre as Israeli forces struck Hezbollah sites in southern Lebanon. Israel also attacked buildings in Aitaroun and Ayta ash-Shab where several operatives were gathered. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken on July 1 said that Israel “has effectively lost sovereignty in the northern quadrant of its country.” The US slammed the Arab League’s decision to revoke Hezbollah’s terror organisation tag. Lufthansa has halted night flights to and from Beirut until July 31 due to the “political developments at the border between Lebanon and Israel." Watch the video
