Germany, France Claim Breakthrough On “Tank Of Future” | EU Defence Group To Build Arms In Ukraine The German and French defence ministers announced in Berlin that they've unblocked a stalled project to jointly develop a next-gen battle tank. Germany and France have achieved a breakthrough in negotiations on the development of the Main Ground Combat System (MGCS). Pistorius said that "there will be a 50-50 split" in the industrial production of the tank system after agreeing on how to split the work between companies from both countries.
