“Deadliest” Israeli Strike On Lebanon Kills Seven, Hezbollah Strikes Back with Rocket Barrage Hezbollah fired a barrage of rockets into northern Israel killing a civilian, after Israel carried out a deadly strike in south Lebanon. The Israeli military said it struck a “military compound” in Hebbariye and those killed were al-Jamaa al-Islamiya "terrorists". It said a "significant terrorist operative" and other members of the Hamas-aligned group were planning attacks against Israel. Hours later, Hezbollah said it retaliated against the airstrike by firing dozens of rockets on the northern Israeli city of Kiryat Shmona and a military base there.
