Cambodia Celebrates Return of Looted Antiquities with Homecoming Ceremony; 70 Artefacts Displayed On August 22, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet and Culture Minister Phoeurng Sackona attended a homecoming ceremony in Phnom Penh for centuries-old looted antiquities. The event, held at the Peace Palace, featured 70 items, including 14 sculptures repatriated from New York's MET and 56 from private collections. The artefacts, including Khmer treasures and Hindu sculptures, were displayed, with the bronze head of Buddhist saint Lokeshvara set to be reunited with its body at the National Museum after decades of separation.
