Biden's 'Garbage' Gaffe As Trump Tries To Quell Joke Backlash, Harris Delivers Speech at Jan. 6 site Republican candidate Donald Trump defended his New York rally, criticized for its divisive language, calling it a "love fest." Trump's comments from his Florida estate came two days after his Madison Square Garden rally, which faced backlash over a comedian’s offensive remarks. Tony Hinchcliffe, one of the speakers who opened for Trump, called the Caribbean US territory of Puerto Rico a "floating island of garbage." Trump said he didn’t hear any of the comments the controversial comedian made at his Madison Square Garden rally. "I don't know him, someone put him up there. I don't know who he is," Trump told ABC's Scott in an interview. Meanwhile, President Biden made a gaffe of his own about Hinchcliffe's offensive joke about Puerto Rico.
