Ben-Gvir's Pitch For Al Aqsa Synagogue Angers Israeli Ministers, Hamas Slams "Dangerous Declaration" Far-right Israeli minister, Ben Gvir, has sparked fresh outrage by saying he would build a synagogue at Al-Aqsa mosque compound if he could. "If I could do anything I wanted, I would put an Israeli flag on the site," Ben Gvir said in the interview to Israel’s Army Radio. Asked several times by the journalist if he would build a synagogue at the site if it were up to him, Ben Gvir replied: "Yes."The Israeli hardline minister also repeated a call for Jews to be allowed to pray at the flashpoint site in Jerusalem. It was the first time for the Israeli minister to openly speak about building a synagogue inside the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
