After Iron Dome Strike, Hezbollah Fires First Missile At Israeli Jets, US Fears Iran Intervention Hezbollah announced it used an air defence missile to force an Israeli jet to retreat from Lebanese airspace on June 6, New Arab reported. The Lebanese group said in a statement that it fired air defence missiles at Israeli warplanes "which were attacking our skies forcing them to retreat beyond the border.” This was the first time the group acknowledged it had the capacity to target fighter jets. Hezbollah did not provide details about the anti-aircraft missile like it does while unveiling new weaponry.
